Our school was awarded our 3rd Green School flag this year.  

The theme for the flag was water and the Green School Committee came up with some brilliant ideas to save water.

We installed a rainwater collection tank at the back of the school to water the garden.  We also installed hippos in the school toilets which saves hundreds of litres of water every year.

On the 2nd March, we had a Water Awareness Day.  The children learned about water conservation and plastic pollution.

Three representatives from the Green Schools Committee went to the McWilliam Park Hotel in Claremorris for the Green Schools Award Ceremony on the 15th May.  They represented the school very well.
